Elena Stacy is currently a PhD Student in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California Berkeley.

Stacy served as a predoctoral associate at Inclusion Economics from 2019-2021. Her work focused on projects related to women's empowerment and financial inclusion in rural India. Since then, some of Stacy’s independent research has continued to focus on these issues. One of her current projects investigates the link between changes in female labor force participation and flood events in urban India. More broadly, she is developing a research agenda that focuses on how climate change impacts, especially extreme weather events, disproportionately affect historically marginalized populations around the globe.

My time at EGC and the mentorship I received from my PI's were invaluable for shaping my research interests and building useful skills for moving on to my own independent work.” – Elena Stacy
